Most homes these days, particularly the newer homes that are being built, are far more economical when it comes to space than older homes with the bathroom often very much reduced in size. If you want to fit both a shower and a bath in your bathroom, you may need to opt for the corner bathtub shower. There are many different styles of corner baths available and no matter how tiny your bathroom, you should be able to find something that suits.
Due to the lack of space in the bathroom, many people these days opt to install a shower only. Showers are definitely great when it comes to getting clean however; they are nowhere near as relaxing as soaking in a corner jetted tub. If you are the sort of person, who misses being able to spend a good half hour or so soaking in the bath, you may want to consider installing corner bath directly under your shower faucets. If you already have a shower enclosure, it will require quite a bit of work to take it out and prepare the area for a tub. Many bathrooms these days, however, especially small bathrooms, do not have an enclosure but rather have the shower attachment simply attached directly to the wall.

One favorite type of corner tub is the high walled bath. Corner baths are usually fairly small in size as they are deliberately built to be space saving, thus you often cannot stretch out fully in the bath. A solution whereby you still save on space yet also provide a way to fully submerge yourself in the relaxing warm or hot water is to buy a high walled tub with a seat or bench inside. These tubs usually have a door for easy entrance and are commonly referred to as walk in tubs or walk in baths.
You can also install a shower over any type of corner bathtubs fairly easily. It is certainly very space saving to install the shower directly over a bathtub as it eliminates the need to have a separate bath and shower enclosure in the bathroom, and by doing so you will find that you can economize greatly on space.
Deciding on the right style of corner bathtub shower will depend on several things. You will need to assess how much space you have and what type of bathtub you would like to install. Do you want to be able to fully soak in the tub? It will also depend on the overall décor of your bathroom, as you will want to find something that matches well with existing accessories.
